On January 29, 2026, Yellow River Conservancy Technical University (YRCTU) held an overseas internship presentation for international students of the Construction Engineering Technology Program at Dayu School. Yang Qi, Deputy Secretary of the Thailand Project of China Construction Third Bureau First Engineering Co., Ltd., together with heads of the Liaison and Cooperation Department and the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation Engineering, attended the meeting. Relevant faculty representatives and Thai students also participated. The meeting was chaired by Li Mingya, Deputy Director of the Liaison and Cooperation Department.
Zhi Baoping, Associate Dean of the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation Engineering, provided a detailed explanation of the overall arrangement, internship content, and specific requirements for the overseas internship. He expressed the hope that the students would closely integrate their professional knowledge with engineering practice, and strive to enhance their practical skills and cross-cultural communication abilities. Yang Qi gave a comprehensive introduction to the company’s basic profile, job requirements, division of duties, and welfare guarantees. He outlined the work environment and growth path for the students during the internship.
Ji Yao, Director of the Liaison and Cooperation Department, put forward three requirements for the overseas internship. First, the relevant schools shall fulfill their responsibilities, provide full follow-up support, and ensure good management and support for the students during the internship. Second, the supervising teachers shall strengthen their sense of responsibility, accurately track the internship progress, and facilitate student development. Third, the students participating in the internship shall work diligently and practically, complete their internship tasks with high quality, and serve as a bridge for China-Thailand cooperation and exchanges.
Afterwards, the students engaged in interactive discussions with the YRCTU staff and corporate representatives. They asked detailed questions about arrival dates, job assignments, and other specific matters.
YRCTU jointly established the Thailand Dayu School with Rayong Technical College Thailand to provide talent training in the field of construction engineering technology. After studying in Thailand, the students came to YRCTU for further education. YRCTU aligned its training with Thai talent development standards, integrated Chinese construction standards and green intelligent construction technologies into bilingual teaching and project-based training, and created a customized training system for the students. Upon completion of their studies, the students undertook internships at Chinese enterprises in Thailand, such as China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Group Co., Ltd., China Construction Industrial & Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd., and Yellow River Co., Ltd. This initiative not only provided international students with broad career development platforms, but also supplied versatile, localized technical professionals for Chinese enterprises expanding overseas. It thus achieved a triple-win outcome for university education, enterprise employment, and student development.
