On the afternoon of May 6, Yellow River Conservancy Technical University (YRCTU) held a pre-departure orientation for its faculty team set to teach at Dayu School in Thailand. Representatives from the Liaison and Cooperation Department, the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation Engineering, and the School of Business and Management, along with all team members, attended the meeting.

Li Mingya, Deputy Director of the Liaison and Cooperation Department, delivered the pre-departure training. He focused on key topics such as overseas laws and regulations, cultural and value compliance, political compliance, and diplomatic etiquette.

Ji Yao, Director of the Liaison and Cooperation Department, highlighted the significance of this teaching mission. He then laid out three specific requirements for the faculty members going abroad. First, they must maintain a firm political stance, strictly observe foreign affairs discipline, and uphold the national image and YRCTU’s reputation. Second, they need to strengthen safety awareness and take comprehensive precautions for personal and property security, ensuring the smooth and orderly progress of overseas teaching. Third, they should ensure teaching quality, align the curriculum with local talent development needs, and help elevate Dayu School’s educational standards to a new level.

The participating faculty members stated that the orientation had given them a clearer understanding of the rules and requirements for overseas assignments on official duty. They pledged to keep YRCTU’s expectations in mind, fulfill their responsibilities diligently, and complete all overseas teaching tasks with a rigorous and pragmatic approach, thereby meeting high standards and delivering quality results.
