On April 21, Yellow River Conservancy Technical University (YRCTU) convened a Seminar on Quality Improvement for China-US Cooperative Education Programs. A four-member delegation led by Professor John Lutchko from Northwestern Michigan College attended the meeting, together with heads of the Liaison and Cooperation Department, the School of International Education, and other staff of YRCTU.

At the meeting, Ji Yao, Director of the Liaison and Cooperation Department, extended a warm welcome to the American experts. He noted that the China-US cooperative education programs serve as an important platform for YRCTU to deepen its internationalization in education, and that continuous quality improvement is vital to raising the standard of talent cultivation.

The two sides then held in-depth discussions on topics including the renewal of the cooperation agreement, strategies for enhancing teaching quality, course alignment, and optimization of teaching resources. They reached a consensus on the priorities of cooperation for the next phase.

YRCTU established a friendly partnership with Northwestern Michigan College in 2016. Since then, the two institutions have carried out all-round, multi-level cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation and academic exchange. To date, YRCTUs China-US cooperative education programs have trained 900 graduates with solid professional expertise and a global outlook.
