On April 23, Yellow River Conservancy Technical University (YRCTU) convened a Preparatory Work Meeting for the 13th Cross-Strait Youth Camp on Water. President Hu Hao and Vice President Jian Haoran attended the meeting and gave specific instructions on the preparatory work. Heads of the Liaison and Cooperation Department, the Science and Technology Department, and the School of Water Conservancy Engineering also took part. The meeting was chaired by Ji Yao, Director of the Liaison and Cooperation Department.

In his address, Hu Hao stressed that the Cross-Strait Youth Camp on Water serves as an important platform to deepen academic cooperation in water resources between the two sides of the strait, promote mutual learning and shared progress among young professionals, and carry forward the tradition of Chinese water management. He called on all departments to raise their awareness and take the preparations seriously. Adhering to the principle of cross-strait solidarity united by water, they should carry out every task with meticulous care and practical efficiency. Such efforts aim to make the camp distinctive and high-quality, thereby building a premium platform for exchange and cooperation among water professionals from both sides.

Jian Haoran put forward clear requirements for the specific preparatory work. He noted that departments must strengthen overall coordination and enhance collaboration, focus on key links, refine work plans, and assign clear responsibilities. All efforts should be made to ensure the camp runs smoothly.

During the meeting, department heads shared their views on major challenges in the preparatory work based on their respective roles. They pledged to strictly follow the meeting’s directives, fulfill their duties earnestly, work in close coordination, and complete all preparatory tasks to a high standard.

Guided by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and the Ministry of Water Resources, the Cross-Strait Youth Camp on Water takes water as a bond. Through academic seminars, site visits to water projects, and other diverse activities, it aims to build a platform for young water professionals across the strait, deepen mutual learning in science and technology, enhance friendship, and support the coordinated development of the water resources on both sides.
