On June 4, a delegation from Changchun Technical University of Automobile, led by Vice President Zhang Yongzhong, visited YRCTU for research and exchange. On behalf of the university, Jian Haoran extended a warm welcome to the deligation led by Zhang Yongzhong and briefly introduced the university’s development history, school-running features and achievements in international development. He noted that both institutions are designated host universities for the full-scholarship program for South African students sponsored by the Department of Higher Education and Training of South Africa to pursue studies in China. Sharing identical program missions while boasting distinctive disciplinary strengths respectively, the two sides are expected to set up a regular exchange mechanism to further deepen pragmatic cooperation. The two parties will jointly explore approaches to improve the quality and efficiency of the inbound education program for international students, build an exemplary model for China-South Africa vocational education cooperation and elevate each other’s capacity in internationalized schooling.
Zhang Yongzhong expressed gratitude for the warm reception. He remarked that Yellow River Conservancy Technical Institute has accumulated profound experience and developed mature models through years of dedication to the internationalization of vocational education. He expressed hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to build a regular exchange and cooperation mechanism with our university. Focusing on the broader development of Sino-South African vocational education and targeting the core goal of improving the quality and efficiency of the study-in-China program, he emphasized the need to tap into cooperation potential, integrate high-quality resources, learn from each other, share achievements, and continuously broaden new avenues for opening up in vocational education.
