Recently, Henan TV aired a special report focusing on the model of vocational education going global that integrates Chinese language instruction with water conservancy training, an approach adopted by Yellow River Conservancy Technical University (YRCTU). The report commended YRCTU’s outstanding performance in using Chinese technology and standards to empower countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative through its international vocational education initiatives. The WeChat Official Account of the Education Department of Henan Province also shared the report.
In recent years, YRCTU has built a system that integrates Chinese language instruction with water conservancy training, tailored to industry needs and overseas demands. It also incorporates Yellow River culture education and offers hands-on courses based on the actual conditions of students’ home countries. This ensures that trainees are ready for the job as soon as they step into the workplace.YRCTU launched its global vocational education initiatives early and has established a broad presence. It has proactively supported the Belt and Road Initiative by setting up overseas Dayu Schools in countries such as Zambia and Thailand, training more than 2,000 foreign students and forming a distinctive YRCTU global vocational education model.
Looking ahead, YRCTU will continue to refine its curriculum, expand overseas cooperation platforms, deepen international exchanges, and steadily raise its level of international education. The goal is to turn more“international graduates of YRCTU”into ambassadors of Chinese technology and standards, so that they can contribute more of YRCTU’s strength and vocational education wisdom to the Belt and Road Initiative.
