On the morning of May 25, Yellow River Conservancy Technical University (YRCTU) held an Opening Ceremony for the "AI+New Media" Training Program for Faculty from Uzbekistan. YRCTU President Hu Hao and Vice President Jian Haoran attended the ceremony, along with 16 faculty members from Tashkent State Agrarian University and Abu Rayhon Beruyniy University in Uzbekistan, as well as heads of relevant departments of YRCTU. Jian Haoran presided over the ceremony.
Hu Hao extended a warm welcome to the visiting faculty and introduced YRCTU’s development history and its distinctive approach to international education. He noted that the current China-Uzbekistan relationship, characterized by a comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era, provides a broad platform for educational exchanges and cooperation between the two countries. He expressed the hope that the faculty would take this training program as an opportunity to engage in in-depth discussions on topics such as AI technology applications in education and innovative development in smart agriculture, exchanging ideas and strengthening friendships through these exchanges. He also called for a stronger shared vision between the two institutions, aiming to open a new chapter in China-Uzbekistan educational collaboration.
Djiyanov Maoruf Rashidpvich, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Agricultural Technology at Tashkent State Agrarian University, expressed sincere gratitude for thoughtful arrangements and warm hospitality. He introduced the academic strengths and disciplinary advantages of Tashkent State Agrarian University. He looked forward to learning from Chinese universities’ experience in fields such as artificial intelligence through this training program, and hoped that the program would help deepen multi-dimensional exchanges and cooperation between the two institutions, thereby achieving mutual empowerment and shared benefits.
During the ceremony, Hu Hao presented Djiyanov Maoruf Rashidpvich with a certificate appointing him as a visiting professor, further solidifying the foundation for institutional cooperation between the two sides. Ji Yao, Director of the Liaison and Cooperation Department, provided a detailed overview of the training program’s schedule.
This training program is part of the “Walking in the Central Plains, Experiencing the Culture of Yellow River” series of China-foreign cultural exchange activities. It will feature a variety of formats, including lectures, case studies, academic exchanges, and cultural experiences. The program aims to facilitate academic exchange and cultural integration between Chinese and Uzbek universities, effectively supporting YRCTU’s “Dahe Workshop” initiative and steadily raising YRCTU’s level of international education.
